What We Believe

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.

There is only one living and true God. He is the creator, redeemer, preserver, and ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience.

Jesus Christ is the "only begotten Son of God." He is God who became man in order that He might, through His sacrificial death on the cross, reconcile lost mankind to the Holy and Righteous God.

Salvation is by grace through faith alone without any human works. Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is freely offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

A church is made up of believers who have been called together by Christ and who live in a covenant relationship with each other to carry the out the will of God. His will is that these believers should grow in their faith displaying a supernatural love for each other along with a unity in purpose. These same believers should cooperate with God in taking the gospel to people who need to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

God Has A Plan For Your Life

God's Purpose: God loves us and has a purpose for our lives. The Bible states it this way, "God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)

Our Need: As we search for meaning in life, we discover that our sinful nature keeps us from fulfilling God's purpose for our lives. We are sinners by nature and by choice. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

God's Provision: God is holy and just and must punish sin. Yet He loves us and provides forgiveness for our sin. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, except through Him" (Jn 14:6)

Our Response: The only way Jesus can affect our lives is for us to receive Him. The Bible says, "But as many received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name."

We turn from our sins (Acts 3:19)
We place our faith in Jesus (Eph. 2:8)
We surrender to Jesus as Lord (Ro. 10:9-10)

Sample Prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus , I believe You are the Son of God and died for my sins. I know I have sinned and I ask you to forgive me. I turn form my sins and I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
