The purpose of the Fist Baptist Youth Group Ministries is to bring youth into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and to disciple them in the Christian Faith. We are also committed to developing real and personal relationships with the other youth in the church and to reach out to the lost and un-churched youth of our community.

Ministry - The purpose is accomplished through a variety of different ways.

First, We hold a weekly youth meeting which includes biblical instruction and prayer followed by a time of recreation and fun. This is designed to challenge the youth from God's Word and to intentionally build relationships between them. Special care is given to make the biblical teachings clear and understandable.

Second, We hold special outreach events such as lock-ins, concerts, and outings to reach out to those not in the group and to give the youth time to interact with each other. This is very important because the friendships they develop will play a crucial role in living the Christian life on their school campuses.

Third, We have an annual Youth Camp at our camp facility, Orton Ranch. This is the single most productive time in the life of our youth group. Camp includes, in a compact time and controlled setting, all of the purpose for the group. Most of the commitments made occur during this time. All the youth are urged to attend the camp. Scholarships are made available so that no one has to not attend because of finances.

Fourth, The youth are encouraged to and trained to participate in the workings of First Baptist Church. One of the most noticeable areas is in the music program. The worship team has several youth who participate and serve as a constant reminder that anyone can contribute to the life of the church.
